This larger species of Porcellio are native to Spain, typically found in the mountains. Porcellio haasi prefer dryer environments with only a small damp area. These isopods should always have a constant source of calcium and protein due to their larger size.
They are easy to determine sex due to sexual dimorphism. Males grow significantly larger than the females do. Porcellio haasi high yellow isopods love lots of rotting wood and plenty of leaf litter.
Our High yellow isopods for sale breed very quickly once established. Adult males can reach just over 3cm (1.18 inches) in length. High yellow isopods have broods around 20-40 plus. Gestation period is around 60 days.
