Buy Hognose Snakes

Hognose snakes are a small rear-fanged colubrid found in North America with a separately recognized group from Madagascar. Of the three North American groups the Western is the most common of the hognose snakes for sale today. These beautiful and reactive small snakes are known to flare their necks similar to a cobra and to play dead when the scare tactics don’t work. They come in a variety of patterns and colors and we carry as many as we can find here at xyzReptiles.

Customers that are ready to buy one these pests should know that our animals are feeding on rodents unless otherwise specified. Western hognose snakes are the most common morph in the pet trade but we will occasionally carry captive born southern hognose as well as the two species of Madagascan hognose snake. These beautiful animals tend to stay small and are kept regularly in the pet trade. Hognose snakes are rear fanged and although it is hard to get bitten by them, the bites normally result in itching and skin irritation.
