I love the fire ball python I bought but however she’s been very snippy. I weighed her after the review and she weighed 80 grams. She was suppose to weigh 100-300 grams. I reached out to xyz reptiles because of this and the fact that I’ve had trouble trying to calm this girl down. She’s been a striker from day one and hoped she’d calm down but she hasn’t. My earlier review I planned to buy from xyz again but there’s no way! I feel as though I got dooped!

Although ball pythons are known to be extremely calm animals, there are many factors that can lead to them behaving defensively. These factors range from cage size, heating elements, lack of hide spots and interference from other animals in the house. As for the size of the animal, baby ball pythons are born around 50-60 grams. A well started animal weighs in at 80 to 100 grams. Depending on the time of the year and the age of the snake they can be anywhere from 80-300 grams. A healthy 80 gram baby snake that is behaving defensively due to unknown circumstances is not the same as being duped in the slightest. I received my baby fire python a couple days ago and was very happy. It came early like they said and the communication with them was wonderful! She was packaged very well and secured. My only concern is that she was really cold when I touched her. I’ve put her in her new home and have left her alone to get comfortable but check on her a few times a day.
